With simple cotton panels at the top and bottom and a shaping midsection, it looks like a regular everyday tank top. This method of subtle shaping transformed the shapewear industry. Until then, shaping products were typically shapewear bottoms—briefs, thigh shapers, and the like—nothing dedicated to giving women a flatter, smoother middle. And nothing that looked like a regular layering piece.
